Matei is co-founding partner of the firm and member of the Bucharest Bar.

He has more than 8 years of experience in commercial and administrative litigation, as well as tax, public procurement disputes and arbitration. At the same time, Matei successfully assisted important actors in complex commercial transactions, commercial disputes and public tender procedures, involving both construction and other complex public contracts. In this context, he successfully coordinated major public procurement disputes that represented a landmark within the case-law of the national courts.

Prior to founding Lawhouse, Matei worked in top tier national and international law firms being involved in high profile projects on the market.

His involvement and dedication to his activity stem from the ambition to continue the family legacy, since his great grandfather Mihail Antonescu (1860 – 1925) served as Minister of Justice (1921), Head of the Bucharest Bar and also contributed to the drafting of the Romanian Constitution adopted in 1923.
